Computer and science labs

Our Science labs were completely refurbished in 2017 and our computer labs are continually being updated with the latest ‘state of the art’ computers and network equipment.

ICT Technical and Science Officers are employed to repair, maintain, develop and assist both students, teachers and support staff with the delivery of teaching and learning.

Students are provided with:

  • Six computer labs containing 28 computers each.
  • STEM facilities and programs.
  • Printing facilities including mono/colour Printers, 3D printers and a Laser Cutter.
  • Seven laptop trolleys distributed throughout the school; three located in Junior-Secondary.
  • Lessons delivered with high definition audio and visual equipment.
  • Up to date software allowing the development of audio-visual, engineering and computer skills.
  • Data file/storage (NB: Students are responsible to maintain a personal backup of all their work. USB drives are on every student’s booklist for this purpose.)
  • An EQ email address for the submission of assignments and other tasks as directed by their teacher.
  • Safe and secure access to the intra/internet and learning resources which will be made available to their own personal devices from 2018 onwards. Click on the link for more information regarding 'Bring Your Own Device' (BYOx).
  • Significant electronic resources including World Book Online, ClickView, the Learning Place, and e-Library.
