Year 10 is the commencement of students’ pathways through Senior Education at Woree SHS. It provides students with the opportunity to begin transitioning into suitable learning choices to be successful in Senior Studies and beyond.
Students will be able to select from a range of subjects that will potentially lead them in Years 11 and 12 to either: an Academic pathway (studying General Subjects and attaining an ATAR ranking for University/Tertiary studies), or an Enterprise pathway (studying Applied subjects that focus on future skills based employment and training).
The video segments below provide general information on subjects available at the Year 10 level and indicate which pathways may be possible through further pursuit of these studies in Years 11 and 12. Students are encouraged to discuss their subject choices with relevant teachers and Heads of Department. Students are further supported in this decision making process through their SET (Senior Education and Training) planning process and other information sessions and evenings.
