The CEC provides support and education counselling for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island students. From these diverse cultural backgrounds, Woree State High School supports and celebrates the shared cultural learning environment of our students.
CEC's are described as the 'cultural liaison' link connection between school and community.
Through the extensive opportunities available, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students can be successful in their education, further training or future employment. As part of this, we would like to invite former Indigenous students to add themselves to our Indigenous Wall of Fame. Showcasing the brilliance of their achievements to blaze the trial for our current students to aspire to.
Students and families are instrumental in contributing to our rich cultural heritage and also to the positive high school experience for all students.
