Applications for SchoolTech are now open! Interviews will be conducted between September and November with notification provided to successful applicants by the end of the year.
SchoolTech will commence in Semester One as per Education Queensland commencement dates. Applicants are encouraged to complete an online expression of interest form as soon as possible so processing and interviews can be arranged.
Entry Requirements
Applicants must have completed Year 10, or equivalent, and be at least 15 years of age. Applicants need to complete an online expression of interest form, attend an interview and demonstrate a minimum standard in literacy and numeracy prior to the commencement of the program. Successful applicants will be notified towards the end of the year. It will be considered an advantage if applicants have completed work experience in Year 10 in the area of their first preference.
Students will be required to wear appropriate trade uniforms.
Students and parents/guardians will be expected to sign and adhere to the SchoolTech Responsible Behaviour Plan and to the rules governing student behaviour. Rolls will be marked and attendance is viewed as compulsory and an important part of the program.
15 students will form a class in each of the trade and vocational areas. As a result, applicants are encouraged to indicate
two preferences on their expression of interest form.
Course Fees
Once you have received an offer of enrolment into a SchoolTech course, all enrolment documents and course fees need to be presented to the SchoolTech office on enrolment day. (Enrolment day is held at the end of the Year 10 school year.)
Alternatively, students can pay a $200 deposit and set up a payment plan for the remaining course fees.
Fees have been set at the following costs:
Year 11: $500 - payable to Woree State High School
Year 12: $500 - payable to Woree State High School

Students will need to bring their own laptop to SchoolTech.
A rent to buy scheme is available through Woree State High School.
