SchoolTech is an award winning initiative between TAFE Queensland External link and Woree State High School.
The program provides an innovative option for school-based vocational training.
- Allows students to complete their senior schooling and obtain a Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE)
- Gain ‘real world’ skills by participating in work placement and working within industry standard training facilities
- Helps provide students with the skills needed to gain a head start in their chosen industry
- The strong emphasis on work placement and vocational training gives students every opportunity to secure an apprenticeship while completing their senior schooling
- Students are enrolled with TAFE Queensland Cairns campus and Woree State High School
- SchoolTech is located on the TAFE Queensland Cairns campus
- Students may access the Great Barrier Reef International Marine College (Portsmith) for their Marine Mechanical studies.
